Harper & Simmons Water Jet

Our new Water Jet cutting machine is probably the biggest advance in reducing lead times in the last year or two. We can now cut developement shapes whilst tooling is in the press, the profiles of which are generated from CAD.

When a form is correct, the resulting profiles are then availble to manufacture the blank tool. Due to the fact that the water jet is so fast, (and capable of cutting with 2 heads simultaneously) we often find that we have spare capacity for subcontract work. We complement our local laser cutting shop by doing their aluminium, stainless steel, brass, foam and anything else the laser cannot cut. The machine is capable of cutting steel to 100mm thick, granite, glass, wood, nylon, urethane/metal laminates, mica, PCBs, rubber, hardened tool steel, foam - the list is almost endless.

Carpet inserts with intricate shapes, tiles, flagstones, bricks etc can all be cut. We can take 2.5m x 1.25m sheets, in some cases stacking two or three sheets together. Deliveries are available for Birmingham, most of the Midlands, and Cotswolds, and most parts can be couriered overnight anywhere in the UK. Why not ask us?
